BARN CLUB: Shaping + Clicker Training

Shaping is how we can easily and progressively teach a horse to do just about anything. Clicker training tells your horse EXACTLY what it is you would like them to do. Together, this dynamic duo is the most powerful tool in the smart horse trainer's toolbox.

About the Event

Shaping and clicker training are two modern training techniques that you can use to teach your horse just about anything - whether on the ground or under saddle. As a pleasant side effect, training in this way also puts healthy deposits into your horse's Trust Bank account!

This month's Barn Club will introduce you to the basics of shaping and clicker training, in a way that you will find easy to understand. Next month, a more detailed, full-day workshop will dive deeper into these topics, and will also include practical, how-to information you can use to incorporate these techniques into your training.

Barn Club is an educational monthly meet-up, where Lauren Fraser presents different topics on horse behaviour and training. Lauren Fraser is an experienced horsewoman and trainer, who is also a clinical animal behaviourist. She specializes in working with behaviour problems in horses, dogs, and cats, using effective, animal-friendly training methods. Each Barn Club event is only $10 per adult, one child aged 12-18 is free with a paying adult. Refreshments are available, please bring your own mug. Dress for the weather as we will be in the covered arena. NO DOGS OR SMOKING ON SITE. Thank you.
